Altinkum is one of the most beautiful resorts located on the western coast of Turkey next to the crystal clear waters of the Aegean Sea. The main beach in Altinkum (often referred to as First Beach) is a large bay of golden sand with incredibly shallow waters and therefore very popular, more beaches are on either side of the main beach, water sports are plentiful so there is always something to watch or participate in.
Altinkum has developed into a lively destination and is now a well sought after area, as it receives a high number of repeat guests, rental demand is strong, which is why we have chosen this area with developments to suite all tastes, both close to the centre and a little further back, much of the town has newly paved pedestrian areas and supermarket chains such as Migros, Tansas and Gima are located here, making it easy to buy provisions for self catering and the Saturday Bazaar is well worth visiting to get either food or that special ‘Bargain’, also the sights of Ephesus, Virgin Mary, Pamukkale and Bodrum are additional attractions and should not be missed.
One of the biggest Marinas in Turkey is under construction in Altinkum; the Didim Marina will be constructed on a 282,000 square metre plot and will serve vessels of all sizes. The facilities will also include an extensive dry dock with the capacity to hold 650 boats; the marina itself will hold 450 boats. The Aegean resort’s marina is expected was completed in 2009 at a cost of $50 million.
