The Costa Cálida is situated in the south-east of the Iberian peninsula . To the north lies the Costa Blanca and to the south lies the Costa de Almería with a total of 250 kilometers of coastline.
Blessed by the mild mediterranean climate it has at least 320 days of sun per year. Minimun temperatures range between 12-15c and maximun temperatures between 20-22c in winter
. The average annual temperature is 18c.
The Mar Menor is a salt water lake next to the Mediterranean sea . It has a 73 km coastline with beaches and transparent, shallow waters. Mar Menor is the biggest salt water lake in europe.
Lifestyle
The life style in and around Costa Cálida is very relaxed. The salt water lake is said to have healing qualities and many people bathe in the lakes.
The beaches are clean & very safe with shallow waters.
