Seasons
Winter:- May – October average temp is 25c and is normally regarded as the best time to view game.
Summer:- November – April average temp 30c beautiful warm time to visit and enjoy this beautiful Game Reserve.
Drakensberg Mountain Range is a World Heritage Site and this is within easy reach of River View.
This development is 20,000 acres (8,000 hectare) in a malaria free zone, positioned 3 ½ hours from Johannesberg and 2 ½ hours from Durban and within easy range of the battlefields.
Battlefields:
The Battle of Elandslaagte took place in the northwest corner of Nambiti on the 21st October 1899. The names of the Boer Commandoes can still be seen, etched into the rocks below the waterfall. The battle of Elandslaagte is inside River View Game Reserve.
